Kyle Busch moved to Richard Childress Racing, ending his long stint with JGR, in 2023 and started the year on a high-note winning three races in the first half of the season. But his strong run ended there, as he hasn’t won a single race since and has found himself a frustrating run that everyone in the racing community, including his ex-rival Kevin Harvick, wants see ending.

So far in the 2025 season either Kyle Busch or his No:8 crew has consistently made mistakes that cost them shot at winning races, and there are a lot of uncertainty over a redemption. 2014 Cup champion Kevin Harvick via is podcast, Happy Hour, assessed the situation, after a disappointing outing at Texas Motor Speedway last Sunday by Busch’s team.

They had to put themselves in a position and you know, we’d talked about their, their pit crew and the ranking. They did a great job on, on pit road to put themselves in position to have a chance to win the race. And the eight car was fast, had a great sponsor on board this week with 7/11, great brand look cool.

Kevin Harvick said via Happy Hour podcast.

He believes everyone in the racing community is rooting for the two times champion to win, while he addressed the broadcaster jinx comments from the fans on social media. This because the fact that Kyle Busch spun out soon after the ex-SHR driver predicted an RCR win. It seems Harvick is buttering up Busch to avoid any blame for the jinx.

Um, everybody’s rooting for Kyle Bush. Everybody wants Kyle Bush to, to win right now. And I was trying to give the guy some love and mid-sentence where a backed into the fence off of, off of turn four.

Kevin Harvick added.

Kyle Busch reveals the Denny Hamlin feat he wants to achieve

Amidst this poor streak, Kyle Busch is looking at his ex-teammate Denny Hamlin for inspiration. Though not a champion, the 44-year-old JGR veteran is consistently having multi-win seasons and the change to the Next-Gen cars hasn’t changed his dominance, despite the fact that he had to unlearn a lot of things to race better in the new car.

Wanting to just get back to the ways of being competitive and up front and winning races and carry that like Denny has. I mean, Denny’s done a great job. He’s 43/44, still winning races, winning them at more than one a clip a year. So, that’s admirable and something that I want to do.

Kyle Busch said.

The comments from the RCR driver shows how much he respects and appreciate the impressive performance of his ex-teammate with JGR. To race on the same level as Hamlin at the moment, Busch has to be more perfect with execution on the track and his crew should give them cars capable of running upfront.
