Trackhouse Racing is going through massive changes, with new driver and crew chief additions, as well as the ownership change brought in following Pitbull’s exit. Amidst all this, No:1 Chevy driver Ross Chastain remains the teams’ brightest spark.
2014 cup champion Kevin Harvick in the latest episode of his Happy Hour podcast talked about the Florida born racers’ prowess. He pointed out that Ross Chastain has to be winning races regularly as he has everything a racer needs personally to thrive.
The dynamic — you expect Ross Chastain to win, right? He’s got to win. He has the work ethic. Has the talent. He has everything he needs personally.
Kevin Harvick said via Happy Hour podcast.
The veteran asserted that the only reason Ross Chasatin’s success in the limited is fact that Trackhouse isn’t giving him cars fast enough. With the right car, the Watermelon Man will be regularly winning multiple races a year.
If Ross Chastain isn’t winning races, your cars aren’t fast enough. He should be winning multiple races every year. And if you’re not winning races, your cars are not fast enough.

Kevin Harvick explains the new dynamic at Trackhouse Racing
In the same conversation, Kevin Harvick talked about the changes at Trackhouse. They have signed two new crew chiefs and young sensation Connor Zilisch is set to make his rookie debut in 2026, changing the overall dynamic in the team.

I think there’s a lot of questions. They’ve made a number of changes within their organization. Got two new crew chiefs. They’ve got a new driver with Connor Zilisch coming in.
Kevin Harvick said.
Then there is Shane van Gisbergen, who will have his sophomore year in the 2026 and will be hoping to continue his absolute domination on road courses. The improvement the veteran showed in oval’s is a massive positive for the team as well.
He’s obviously changed the game on road courses. But he’s gotten a lot better on the ovals. We saw him run great at the Clash last year, and we started to see top-10 runs on mile-and-a-halfs.
Kevin Harvick added.
The Kiwi and introduction of Zilisch create a new dynamic on road courses for Trackhouse as only the latter has given the three times Supercars champion a real challenge in RC races. The youngster being solid in ovals gives him a massive advantage as well.
The interesting dynamic to me is on the road courses. How does Connor adapt? Is there a possibility they split those races up with their dominance? Connor’s got a whole new world in front of him.
Kevin Harvick asserted
The 2026 season is going to be start of something special for Trackhouse with three strong drivers and their crew needs to take advantage of it by giving them solid cars. They should also give more focus on Ross Chastain, considering he is their best shot at winning the championship.
