With just seven more races left in the 2024 NASCAR Cup regular season, the playoff bubble is getting more dramatic. Four or five drivers are in the fight for the spot in the playoffs, with all of them in a dire need of a race win to make it into the last-16. 2014 Cup champion Kevin Harvick has given his verdict on driver who should his the panic button.

In the latest episode of Happy Hour podcast, Kevin Harvick names four driver that are in trouble. That include two times Cup champion Kyle Busch, 23XI Racing’s Bubba Wallace alongside the Stewart Haas Racing duo of Chase Briscoe and Josh Berry. He went on to share his special concern about Wallace who made It to playoffs in 2023.

Harvick pointed out that he is really concerned about the Toyota driver and his chances. He believes the No:23 team is missing something in terms of speed in their chase for playoffs. The ex-SHR driver feels Wallace and Kyle Busch is kind of in same position, as when they have good cars they often get caught up in someone else’s mess.

Well, we’ve obviously touched on Kyle Busch. We’re concerned about Kyle Busch. I’m concerned about Bubba Wallace. For me, I think they’re just missing a little bit, on the speed side of things, and they haven’t been able to put a lot of things together, and when they do, it’s kind of been like Kyle Busch. It doesn’t go right for them. It doesn’t seem to work out, in the end.

Kevin Harvick explains how Bubba Wallace can progress

The RCR legend while further discussing on the point asserted that Bubba Wallace and the No:23 team are capable of getting out of the situation. But in order to do that they have to capitalize on the days they have good cars and good feel.

So, I think they have the capability, to put more speed together at certain places, and it’s just going to come down to capitalizing on those days, where he’s able to go to a race track where they can do that.

Bubba Wallace has seven more races to prove his worth and secure the third win of his career in the clutch moment. It would be interesting to see if 23XI and the driver would able to deliver in the most important stage of the season for him.
