The 2024 NASCAR Cup season has been nightmare for Richard Childress Racing’s Kyle Busch. He has been able to be in the fight for race wins in any of the Cup events this year owing to the slow cars the No:8 Chevy team has been fielding to him. The multiple incident he has been part of on track leading to wrecks and DNFs also didn’t help.

Due to all these drama in the tracks, rumors started to spread that he is looking for a way out of RCR. Kyle Busch fueled the speculation more by admitting at Iowa that he is open top return this ex-Cup teams, Hendrick Motorsports and Joe Gibbs Racing which are the best teams in the sports’ history, if he gets an opportunity to do so.

While addressing these comments made by the veteran 2014 Cup champion Kevin Harvick reminded Busch that he was thrown out of HMS and admitted that he is very confused why the comments were made. He asserted that with the opinion Busch has made his situation bad at SHR as his crew might lose the trust in him.

He threw out the Hendrick piece of it, too. I mean he basically got thrown out of Hendrick, right? When he was driving the Xfinity car and everything, they had going on there. So, I’m very confused. I’m so confused about making those comments about driving at Gibbs and Hendrick, because I just, I don’t know what that does for you in making your situation better at RCR.

Yeah, I absolutely do. I feel like he’s a big part of this and a big part of the future of RCR. We spend a lot of time together; we talk about a lot of things. He’s very involved with the team and with the guys here at the shop.
Randall Burnett said.

Kyle Busch currently can’t talk to other teams due to his contract with RCR that last till the end of 2025 banning him from doing so. It would be interesting to see if the veteran will choose to stay with RCR or moved on.
