The 2025 NASCAR Cup season so far hasn’t been kind to two times Bill France Cup winner Kyle Busch. He came into the season with the No:8 Richard Childress Racing crew determined to end his winless streak that is currently over two years; long and hasn’t been able to mainly due to the car not being competitive enough.
Kyle Busch had some hope about having a momentum changing run at Homestead Miamin this Sunday, as he has won two of his championship there making it a special place. But his run ended with a disappointing P21 finish, earning him just 16 championship points, worse that his teammate Austin Dillon, who scored P13.
Talking about the performance post-race, the veteran threw shade at his team, blaming how the No:8 team set up his car for the loss. He then went onto highlight how they recovered from the poor start, by making good adjustments as the race progressed that showed the never give attitude of his team.
Certainly, wasn’t the day we were looking for with our Bank OZK Chevrolet… We definitely missed that setup. Randall [Burnett] and the guys kept working on it with every stop and we were way better at the end. Appreciate the effort they put into it. We never gave up. We’ll keep working on it.

The fans online went onto to post some wild ideas about what potentially the news will be, with some event making outrageous prediction. Some predicts a team change from the veteran, who seems to dislike his time at RCR, which seems not far-fetched.
The No:18 and No:51 being representatives of his time with Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota, some have suggested the a TRD related announcement while some other have hinted the return of Kyle Busch Motorsports. The community seems eager to find the solution for the mystery.
Should Kyle Busch leave RCR to find success?
Other than in the first half of the 2023 season when Busch won three races, RCR hasn’t shown any signs of them being title favorites again. This is concerning for the veteran, who is in his last years in the sport and a bad stint at RCR is surely going to dampen him legacy.

Its one of the predominant reasons why many expects him to move teams. But saying with RCR and helping them to succeed again is going to make him a legend of the sport more than leaving them during a tough stint in going to make.
Kyle Busch has the skill and resources at his disposal, alongside a strong leadership at RCR. The only thing the Chevy team need is all those culminating to success alongside some luck to get back to their glory days in the sport. They have field strong cars as success in guaranteed if someone like Busch has a car capable of winning races.
