The NASCAR Cup Series race last weekend at Daytona changed the whole game for the Cup garage with Harrison Burton pulling of an upsetting win. His victory came at the cost of Kyle Busch, who started the final restart upfront only to lose grounds as he didn’t get the right push from ex-teammate Christopher Bell.
What was more upsetting for the RCR garage about the Kyle Busch’s lost was the fact that Harrison Burton was aided by Parker Retzlaff, who is affiliated with the team as well as Chevy. The youngster received a lot of backlashes for not helping Busch and making the move to secure a good finish for him. The No:8 Chevy driver has now come out defending Retzlaff.
Kyle Busch on whether Parker Retzlaff owes himself or anyone at Richard Childress Racing an explanation or apology from the finish at Daytona: "Not me ... but I don't know what business relationships there are behind the scenes.Kelly Crandall of RACER reported.
Busch said Retzlaff was not in the Chevrolet key partner meeting and therefore shouldn't be held to that same standard and wouldn't know the game plan for the end of superspeedway races.

Kyle Bush later revealed that Parker Retzlaff wasn’t part of Chevy’s competition meeting for the race and wasn’t aware of the plan they have had for the final part of the race. The veteran believes this invalidates any claim that suggest the youngster should have helped him to win the Coke Zero Sugar 400.

Kyle Busch shares his expectations for Southern 500
The RCR veteran is in must win situation coming into the regular season finale at Darlington. He didn’t have the best start to the day as his session ended with a P17 finish. But he isn’t distracted with the struggles and is determined to secure a win, that would ensure him a spot in the playoff, along with millions in profit for the team.
We don't come in this weekend holding our heads low and thinking that we're going to not run well. We put heads together and try to figure out why and said, 'We're going to go there with the best car we can and try kick their butts and get a win.Kyle Busch said.
The two times champion is looking to end his 46-race winless streak and continue his streak of winning at least a race this season. The Southern 500 is his best place he could secure both objectives, but it is going to be an uphill task for him.
