Some racing fans didn’t like the tough love shown, as they are thought the veteran was too critical of the 10-year-old. Now the two times Cup champion has responded that it not the first time they have had such reviews and he always try to be nice.

Well, I mean, we do that all the time. I think that was probably one of the first times we’ve ever really broadcasted it. I tried to be nice, but I tried to be—not forceful. The word would be just to the point, right? Like trying to get it out there.

Kyle Busch told Jonathan Ramos via X.

The veteran admitted that Brexton sometimes complains too much about the car or other factor, hence he had to make the youngster realize his mistakes in the race. The Kid understands it and he is slowly but strongly growing as a racer.

You know, he wants to sometimes complain too much about the car’s not there or this or that or whatever. And I’m like, ‘Look, this one’s on you. This one’s your fault.’ But he’s 10, he’s learning, and he’s doing a really good job. I mean, last night we had the capability of maybe running third. We got a sixth out of it.

Kyle Busch added.

Furthermore, he highlighted that in the video he was explaining how better execute races and how close they were to match the goal they had set for themselves on the day. These small wins helps them grow as a team in the long-run.

So just telling him he’s got to execute and do his job all day from beginning to end. And wherever we line up, we’ll say, ‘Yeah man, we met the goal for the day.’ So, you’re going out and winning that race—we know that was pretty cool—but were you able to take some of that?

Kyle Busch asserted.

Kyle Busch shared thoughts potential late model race against son Brexton

I never say never. I love the late model world. That’s kind of where my favorite times of being a race car driver came from. So, winning the Snowball Derbies, the Winchester 400s, the Oxford 250s — those are all great big races that you want to win as a late model racer.

Kyle Busch said.

He expects his son to race in the series with in a couple of years, once he becomes a teenager. But a father versus son battle will only happen if they have the right schedule and have the right sponsor, as it isn’t cheap to field two cars in the series.

I’m sure Brexton will be doing that here shortly in the next few years. And I don’t know if I want to pay for two of us to be out there. So, I’m sure we’ll focus on him and see what I want to dabble in.

Kyle Busch added.

The comments from the veteran seems to be on point and he does have a proper plan to give his son a solid start in his racing career. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for the veteran in the coming years.
