The NASCAR Cup Serie race last week at Sonoma was a crazy one with multiple incidents thorough out. One of the craziest one of the days was the last lap-lap clash between Richard Childress Racing Chevy driver Kyle Busch and Trackhouse Racing Chevy driver Ross Chastain, while they were fighting for top-five.
An aggressive overtake from Ross Chastain resulted in him making contact with Kyle Busch and it ruined the No:8 Chevy’s race as he ended up in P12 with his car almost making past the finish line before running out of fuel. The latter defended himself saying the move wasn’t intentional while Busch took a sarcastic dig post-race.
Kyle Busch said his car did stumble on the Sonoma final lap but felt he gave Ross Chastain enough room to get by him. What he said about that lap. In the final soundbite, he was talking about the way people are racing each other, how he races and circled back back to Chastain. pic.twitter.com/PPWWDr6IsW

Ahead of the Iowa Cup race, Busch once again took shots at Ross Chastain as he called him out for the clash. He branded the No:1 Chevy’s move on him as dumb as asserted that he was wiped out despite giving the Trackhouse driver enough space to overtake him because his Chevy was much faster.
I don’t know it just is what it is. Forty guys fighting for some of the same real estate each week on the race track and you’re bound to run into one another. It’s just dumb when it happens like last week where I gave a whole groove to a faster car that was going to pass me anyways and I got wiped out.Kyle Busch said at Iowa.
Jordan Bianchi warns Kyle Busch of missing playoff
While discussing the poor form Kyle Busch and his team in the 2024 season, podcaster and journalist Jordan Bianchi has warned the No:12 team of precautions of missing out on points. He asserted that they have been missing out on a lot of points owing to mistake made on the track as well as off the track.

You look at the standings, by my riverfalls math, he's eight points out of a playoff spot. He was going to finish top 5, that's the difference between being in a playoff spot and not being in a playoff spot and those points are so valuable. It just seems like this team- they have thrown away a lot of points this year and it's not good and it more often than not ends up biting you in the butt.Jordan Bianchi said.
The 2024 season so far has been like Sonoma for Kyle Busch as he most often gets caught up in unfortunate incidents. The team has made his racing cleaner to be more productive. It would be interesting to see how the season would playout for the driver with just 10 races left to playoffs.
