The 2024 NASCAR Cup season is ending it close with the Round of 8 opener being hosted at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Eight drivers, with half of them being former champions, is set for the challenging round that will feature races at Martinsville and Homestead alongside the one in Vegas this Sunday.
Because of the strong grid its really tough to predict the potential championship-4 line up. Two times Cup champion Kyle Busch was asked about the same at Vegas ahead of the race and he doubt waste much time to name the four drivers. He expects the current top 3 in the points table to make into the next round.
This includes his ex-JGR teammate Christopher Bell and the HMS duo of Kyle Larson and Willaim Byron. He then asserted that veteran Denny Hamlin and the 2024 regular season champion Tyler Reddick are the driver in the battle for the fourth spot, given everything goes normal in the races. While making this prediction he has overlooked defending Cup winner Ryan Blaney alongside ex-champion Joey Logano and Chase Elliott.
Kyle Busch admits time is running out for him to keep the streak alive
The 2024 season has been worse for Kyle Busch who is painstakingly coming close to ending Cup win streak that is almost two decades old. But with four more races left in the season, the time is running out for him. So, coming into Las Vegas, the veteran feels like he has the bets shot at winning the race.
If the Richard Childress Racing driver is able to secure the race win, that to at his home track, it will really be great moment for them. It will be interesting to see if the No:8 team will give him a car capable of making this dream a reality.
