The 2022 season marked the last year of Kyle Busch with Joe Gibbs Racing, as he ended his career that lasted over 15 years with the Toyota giants, which elided him two Cup championships, to join Rochard Childress Racing. One of the primary reasons for his exit was JGR losing M&M as a primary sponsor for the No:18 Toyota.
Kyle Busch was having a great time at JGR with having just two primary sponsors in M&M and Interstate Batteries, which demanded less time for partnership events. But when he was got into RCR, the No:8 had multiple primary sponsorship deals, 15 to be exact and it became a great challenge for him.
He felt being spoiled at JGR, as now with Chevy team he has to do more event appearances as part of the deal. Richard Childress’ ability to rope in some of the most diverse and unique sponsors to his team, makes it another huge challenge. Kyle Busch made confession about the sponsorship situation in a recent interview.
Kyle Busch recalls Kevin Harvick’s warning about NASCAR broadcasting
Being one of the most talked about drivers in the sport, Kyle Busch always has a camera on him aiming to get some content out of him. His ex-rival Kevin Harvick, who now works as a race analyst with Fox reminded him about it this season, most probably to make sure the RCR veteran doesn’t say or do anything he will regret on the Camera.
The remainder coming from a champion racer to another shows the level of respect they have between each other, as he doesn’t want the two times champion to be get in trouble with his actions. It will be interesting to see if Busch would continue keeping his composure as he got just five races left in the season to keep his win streak alive and there is a lot of dramatic incidents potentially coming his way.
