‘My feelings are hurt,’ Austin Dillon points figure at Kyle Busch for his second wreck in a row this season

Austin Dillon and Kyle Busch
With only five laps to go until the end of round one, Richard Childress Racing saw one of its worst nightmares coming to life in the re-configurated Atlanta track as their driver Austin Dillon got wrecked for a second time in a row this season with Kyle Busch being the culprit.
Austin Dillon was running third in the outside lane alongside Kyle Busch on his rear entering turn 4 when the 2 times champion started an aggressive push on his rival. Austin Dillon got loose which send him hard into the outside wall soon the No. 18 car followed and ran into the wall with him. Both cars crossed the start-finish line sideways after sliding down the front stretch.
Austin Dillon was out of the race at that exact moment with him finishing 35th. Though Joe Gibbs Racing was initially successful in salvaging some parts and getting Kyle Busch’s car running he later had to retire his car 70 laps later finishing at p33.
Find out what Austin Dillon said

Austin Dillon pointed the figure at Kyle Busch for the incident that took both of them out of the race stating Kyle Busch’s number 18 car got him loose when two cars were coming up the track eventually prompting both of them out of the race.
“No, I was in the gas wide open, and the 18 was pushing us on the left rear from what I saw. Got me loose and took us both out of the race. It didn’t help that the other two cars were coming up the track, so it took some air off the nose, but he’s already got me turned right there,” Austin Dillon said.

Austin Dillon went on to add that he doesn’t understand why the former champion had to push him like a dead-center three-quarter mark at the end of the initial stage when they were going down the front stretch. He added that his feelings are hurt as this is the second consecutive wreck for him this year.
“It’s the end of Stage 1. We’re going to get a run down the front stretch right there, so I don’t know why he’s pushing like dead-center three-quarter mark. Part of it, I guess. Fun racing there for a while with a really fast Bass Pro Shops Chevy. I don’t want to say anything else. My feelings are hurt because two weeks in a row we’ve been taken out of the race,” Austin Dillon added.
