“A huge opportunity,” Anthony Alfredo set to make Next-gen car debut at Richmond

Anthony Alfredo, the Xfinity series racer, is all set to plunge into the big leagues again with his 2023 Cup Series return. He will drive the number 78 Chevy Camaro under Live Fast Motorsports for two races. The 23-year-old currently makes his trade for BJ McLeod Motorsports in the Xfinity series and will be seen for the first time this year in the Cup Series at the Toyota Owners 400 in Richmond.
Anthony Alfredo is on cloud 9 at the moment with the opportunity that has been presented to him. He is super excited, and why wouldn’t he be, as not many drivers are able to feel the thrill of racing in the prestigious Cup Series. While talking recently about what lies ahead, he added, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to drive the number 78 Chevrolet Camaro in the NASCAR Cup Series at Richmond.
“It is a huge opportunity for me to get experience in the Next Gen Car. We have already made major strides with the Xfinity program and I am excited to take the momentum to the Cup side. It wouldn’t be possible without all the great people at Live Fest, as well as our partners and supporters.”
Looking at Alfredo’s comments on what’s coming, it can be said for certain that he is not afraid. Moreover, he eagerly looks forward to getting behind the wheel of NASCAR machinery again. The young lad previously competed in the Series in the year 2021 when he finished as runner-up for the Sunoco Rookie of the Year award.
BJ McLeod fully believes in Anthony Alfredo to do well in NASCAR
While Anthony Alfredo is fully charged to go racing in the Cup Series, his Xfinity Owner has also backed him to do well in NASCAR. A Co-Owner of the BJ McLeod Racing team is very impressed with the work of Anthony for the Xfinity team. Thus, on the back of what he has seen so far, he was got his full faith in Alfredo to do well in NASCAR.
While praising Anthony Alfredo, the Co-Owner said, “Anthony’s drive and determination is something we have seen standout on our Xfinity team. We are excited to give him the opportunity to compete at the Cup level again and gain some experience in the Next Gen Car.“
Alfredo, so far in his Xfinity career, has impressed many people with his on-track exploits. Considering all this, his owner is not wrong in showing faith in him to do well in the NASCAR Cup Series with Live Fast Motorsports. He is set to return to a NASCAR event on the upcoming 2nd of April, and taking everything into account, it would be fascinating to see how Alfeedo would do against some of the most seasoned campaigners in the Cup Series. A lot of eyes would be on him in his number 78 Chevrolet Camaro at the Toyota Owners 400.
