23XI Racing’s Bubba Wallace has been having a solid season this year. Despite going winless, 2023 might be his best season ever. His impressive consistency and resilience saw him making it into the Cup playoff R-12 alongside his teammate Tyler Reddick. It is a personal and team milestone, as both never made it to even the post-season before 2023.

He had his best race of the year last Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway. He started the vent on the pole, led a career-best 111 laps, and outraced a super-fast Kyle Larson. But a poor final restart saw him finish the race at P3, giving away the way win to championship favorite Willaim Byron and settling for a P3 at the end of the day.

While discussing their playoff campaign ahead of the Talladega playoff race, Wallace pointed out that his team can make it to the R-8, surviving the Round of 12. He pointed out that mid-way to the season, they are an 8th to 12th-placed team, and with the positive momentum they have on their side, it is possible to make it to the next round as his team is capable of it.

I think we’re very capable of getting to the Round of 8. I look at the third round – those are really good racetracks. Going off what I watched last year in Homestead, the car looked really, really fast, so I’m excited to get there… I think if we can just fight our (butts) off these next two weeks, it will be interesting to see what the No. 23 can do for the remainder of the playoffs,” Wallace told RACER.

Bubba Wallace believes that he is bound to win a race

2023 was also a story of close calls and missed chances for Bubba Walaces, as mistakes, bad luck, and pit-stop mishaps cost him opportunities that he could have converted into a win. But he still has hopes as long as the No:23 Toyota Camry team continues to give his cars capable of racing up front.

When you’re in the top three every week, they say your win is bound to come. I do believe that. We just have to keep putting our name in the hat and keep doing what we know we are capable of doing,” said Wallace.

The target 23XI had for the driver in 2023 was to make it to R-12, and since he has done it, every other step they make will be a bonus for him and the team. This will be a great opportunity for the side to use 2023 as the base for their effort to become an organization capable of winning championships by 2025.
