Joe Gibbs Racing’s Christopher Bell has confirmed that he is confident that Trackhouse Racing’s Daniel Suarez, who is a former JGR driver, will retaliate for the clash at Roval. Bell, who is currently the sixth-ranked driver in the last eight, needs to out-race his playoff rivals while keeping an eye out for any form of offensive move from the Mexican driver.
The race saw multiple incidents where the duo exchanged blows, but the last stage incident did cross the limit for Suarez. The No:20 Camry driver clipped the No:99 Camaro ZL1 from the back, causing it to spin out with just 15 laps left in the race. They were racing each other for P11. The clash dropped Suarez to the back, which saw him finish the race at P33 while Bell scored a P15.
Suarez, after the race, confirmed that he would get back at Bell but refused to specify when the retaliation would come. He said, “Whenever I need, I’m going to get him back. I’m not saying it’s going to be Kansas or Bristol. He definitely owes me one, and I’m going to save that for later.”
While responding to the threat, Bell told NBC that he is confident that the revenge is coming. He also added that he did have a conversation with the Chevy driver over the incident and admitted his mistake. But he doesn’t see it as something that would change the minds of Ross Chastain’s teammates.
He said, “Certainly I didn’t mean to get into him. He and I have had run-ins in the past. That’s the last guy I wanted to get into and have a problem with moving forward. I reached out to him and told him that it wasn’t intentional, but, we, I’m sure he’s going to be coming after me, which is not ideal going into the next four races. It’s a mistake, and I’ll have to keep that in the back of my head.”

Christopher Bell says he needs to be smart racing Daniel Suarez
The Toyota youngster went on to pin-point Daniel Suarez as a driver who needs to be smart while racing on the track. One of the major reasons for Bell thinking like it was that their clashes were on track in the past, and having recurring incidents with the same driver isn’t something good in a touring series.

Bell says that the smartest way to race last year’s Sonoma Cup race winner is to give him enough space while racing side to side. He said, “I just have to be smart whenever I’m around him, certainly give him as much room as possible.”
He added that the Roval incident wasn’t something that should’ve happened, and he should be mindful about it moving forward. Bell said. “It is what it is. It was not a smart move on my behalf (at the Roval). It was a mistake. It wasn’t like that was a move I was trying to do, but I should have been more mindful of the position that I was in and where we’re at in that race. Not ideal.”
