Kurt Busch wins the Kansas cup race

Kurt Busch was on fire at Kanas as the 2004 Cup Series Champion as he made his way to the top in dominant fashion to win his first cup race behind the wheels of the Next-Gen car. The No:45 23X1 Toyota Camry rolled into victory lane 1.43 seconds ahead of the No:5 HMS Chevy Camaro ZL1 of defending Cup champion Kyle Larson. Kyle Busch, Kurt’s younger brother finished P3 and the older Busch’s teammate Bubba Wallace finished P10 in an incredible race weekend at Kansas.

Kurt Busch’s win was nothing short of pure dominance as he made himself to the top leading 116 while the second-most laps led was by Christopher Bell, the pole sitter, with 37 laps to his name. Though the last stage was a challenging part for the No:45 car as he lost his lead to brother Kyle Busch after he suffered a pit-stop misshape under caution.

Kurt Busch was once more challenged when in the final restart he was made to start at P4 and just after the restart Kyle Busch lost the lead to Kyle Larson. Kurt Busch made his way to the top advancing on his little brother at lap 237 and overtaking the defending cup champion with eight laps to go.

Twitter was on fire after the win of Kurt Busch as multiple reactions popped up from fans with some appreciating the incredible work put in by the champ others were also appreciative of team 23X1 and Bubba Wallace. There were also trolls and criticism coming towards Hendrick Motorsport for the loss.
