Chase Elliott wins the Dover Cup Race

Team Hendrick Motorsports continues its NASCAR Cup dominance as their driver Chase Elliott secured his first win of the 2022 season at Dover Motor Speedway making them the only team with all of their fielded drivers winning a Cup race this season. The 2020 Cup Series Champion ended his 26-race win drought in Dover claiming the top spot in the 400-lap race.

The Concrete track debut of the Next-Gen car saw the race got postponed to Monday due to a rain delay and fans were in for a treat at Dover as one of their favorite drivers, the HMS No:9 Chase Elliott scored his first win leading the whole final 53 lap of the race in the final restart to finish the race at P1.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. finished P2 in the race ahead of Ross Chastain at P3 and Christopher Bell, and Elliott’s HMS teammate Alex Bowman capped off the top5 finishing at respective positions.
