The 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Pocono ended in a caution and helped Austin Hill to secure his fourth win of the season. Josh Berry, who will replace Kevin Harvick in the upcoming season, crashed out after his lap attempt to take the lead from Hill.
On the final lap, he went hard and started racing the No:21 Chevy and slightly got upfront but was clipped and sent to the inside. He dropped back to p2, and Josh Berry desperately tried to join the pack on the top lane.
His attempt backfired as he made contact with teammate Sam Mayer in the No:1 Chevy. He dropped further back and was driving on the inside, coming to a turn. Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s driver failed to control his car and slammed into the wall, bringing out a caution.
Berry had an impressive day at the track as he started the race on the pole and won two stages. He led 52 of the 92 laps races to the final lap drama. The No:21 team’s fuel gamble on fuels was the major reason he secured the win.
It was a redemption for the RCR driver as he crashed out earlier in the Truck Series race. Hill was the only championship contender who survived without any major incidents. Point leader John Hunter Nemechek and third-placed Cole Custer were collected in lap 47 and ended in undesired positions.

Here is how fans on Twitter reacted to Josh Berry’s crash
The racing fans online weren’t pleased with the Josh Berry ended his day, which would have produced a different result if he was to keep his car in control on the final laps. It marked yet another day where the Junior Motorsports drivers failed to convert the strong cars and start. They had to make a significant finish at the end of the day.
