Hollywood actor and TV series Malcolm in the Middle fame Frankie Muniz is set to make his NASCAR debut in the ARCA Mendes Series in 2023. He will drive the Rette Jones Racing No: 30 Ford Mustang. Muniz will use the same chassis used by RJR in their early days in Cup racing.
To make his dream debut more special, Muniz has signed a deal with NEO Studios to document his experience at the track. The show will feature the on and off-track life of Muniz with the help of exclusive interviews and footage. Frankie in the Fastlane is the working title given to the project.
Frankie Muniz agrees to the deal to ensure fans remember him, not just as Malcolm but as a professional racer. He said, “I’m proud of my past accomplishments and for being remembered as Malcolm, for example. It’s a great feeling to have made an impact on people in that way, but when I’m in that seat, in the car, and on the track, I know in my soul that racing as a professional driver is what I was made to do,”.
He is confident that SEO studios will help him to showcase his love for racing with fans. Muniz said, “I’m excited to partner with a company like NEO Studios that really understands sports and competition programming, and to bring viewers along on this crazy journey and share my love of racing with the world,”.
“Frankie put everything on the line to pursue his passion and become a professional racer. That alone is inspiring, but he also had to overcome countless obstacles — including injuries, media scrutiny, and more — to get where he is today. NEO is drawn to telling unique sports-centric stories that showcase human triumph, and we’re truly honored to follow Frankie on this quest.” NEO Studios’ head of unscripted and the projects executive producer Mike Basone said.

Why did Frankie Muniz join ARCA?
One of the major reasons behind Muniz’s chase of the NASCAR dream is to set an example for his son to follow once passion. He said, “I want him to grow up seeing me reach for my dreams and work hard for something that I’m passionate about, and the one world where I feel like I still have unfinished business is the racing world. So, I’m going to go racing,”.
Muniz has a lot to learn in his first year, and there is a guarantee that he will have a second year, so he wishes to go full on this season and have no regrets. He said, “I have a lot to learn, and I know that. But I’m going in, I’m putting in a hundred percent because I don’t wanna look back at this opportunity and go, man, I wish I tried harder,”.
“I don’t have 10 years of opportunities. I gotta make this happen right now. So, in that sense, I’m just eager to get rolling. I want to be competing for wins, but I’m also realistic,” Frankie Muniz added.
