“Grandpa’s money helped him out drive the ‘greatest driver ever’,” NASCAR Twitter reacts to Ty Gibbs beating Kyle Larson in the Road America Xfinity race
Ty Gibbs and Kyle Larson
Ty Gibbs who drives the No.54 Toyota GR Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing as a full-time NASCAR Xfinity Series contender since 2021 managed to make the headlines after winning in his debut race at the 2021 Daytona RC in the Super Start Batteries 188 and again recently in the Henry 180 at Road America after overtaking the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Larson of Hendrick Motorsports during the final laps and managed to keep defend his position from Larson before going on to claim his fourth win of the season.
Ty Gibbs last won the Go Bowling 250 Xfinity Series race at Richmond Raceway this season ahead of Sam Hunt Racing’s John Hunter Nemechek. The Henry 180 at Road America was the second-tier series’ return to the 4.048 miles track for the 13th time with Kyle Busch running for Joe Gibbs Racing winning here in 2021 and this year happened to be one of the most controversial races with Gibbs Bumping into the rear of Larson and also a horrific pile-up in the final stage in a long time on a road course with Noah Gragson, Sage Karam, and many others.
Here’s how NASCAR Twitter reacted to Ty Gibbs winning the Henry 180
NASCAR Twitter took to storm after a controversial win by Ty Gibbs in the Henry 180 at Road America while few congratulated him on the victory and were genuinely happy with him going places but what also caught everyone’s attention was his bump into the No.17 Camaro of Kyle Larson and got past him which attracted a lot of heat from Larson fans while few claimed that his grandfather Joe Gibbs’ wealth aided him in getting the victory.
