The two former Cup champions had a one of the moist infamous in NASCAR history brawl post-race at Las Vegas in 2017.

The 2017 Las Vegas cup race witnessed one of the most heated pit-stop fights ever in NASCAR. A fight broke out between former teammates Kyle Busch and Joey Logano after the later dumped him on the last lap in the former’s home race. Seven years after the event, Busch has recollected the events and detailed what was going through his mind in his recent appearance in Pat McAfee‘s show.
Kyle Busch was battling with Joey Logano for P3 spot and a top-3 finish. However, this battle ended with Busch being spun out by a young Logano who was desperate to claim the third place. After the race the then JGR driver reached the went to Logano’s garage and started sharing blows. While talking about this with McAfee, Busch admitted that it was just frustration getting the best out of him.
So that was on the last lap of the race, he wiped me out and spun me out for third place and so I was like you know what, I am done with this punk and here we go.Kyle Busch said on the Pat McAfee show.
The RCR driver elaborated that the incident took place on the last lap and he had enough of Logano’s antics that weekend. Due to the fight, Busch suffered a wound on his forehead while Logano suffered minor injuries. Although no one was penalized after this altercation, this heated moment between the two drivers and will be remembered for years.
Pat McAfee admits he respects the hell out of Kyle Busch over the incident
Pat McAfee, the famous sports analyst and host of the podcast was impressed by Busch’s antics. McAfee took up the incident of Busch and Logano in Las Vegas and asked the former’s opinion on the incident and after the ex-Cup champion detailed the incident for him, admitted that he was amazed by the former RCR’s drivers’ approach.

There isn’t a lot of times in life, where somebody in 2024, will walk a quarter mile right-up somebody’s face, and just punch them in the face. We respect the hell out of that, I appreciate the hell out of that.
