Though Next-Gen cars outing in Bristol at the Food City Dirt wasn’t a big success NASCAR expected it e but the last-lap incident between Chase Briscoe and Tyler Reddick at the last corner before the finish line has been the talking point since then.
Veteran Kyle Busch was able to secure his first win in the 2022 season after race leader Tyler Reddick was forcefully spun out of the race by Chase Briscoe who tried a slider against the RCR racer to get Infront. Tyler Reddick was left speechless when he saw his first career victory flash in front of him as he wasn’t quick enough in saving the car from spinning.
The NASCAR community was surprised to see a calm and collected Tyler Reddick post-race as he didn’t do anything aggressive towards Chase Briscoe whose action cost him a first career win. Chase Briscoe also made headlines as he quickly came to Tyler Reddick after the finish to apologize for the incident.
Joey Logano, one of the most decorated and aggressive drivers in the Cup Series has now come forth calling out Tyler Reddick for being less aggressive following the incident which cost him his first career win in a Cup race.

Joey Logano acknowledged that if he was in place of Tyler Reddick he would have been really angry with Chase Briscoe even if the incident was an accident. The 2018 champion went on to say that though he would have done the same thing to arrive as Chase did if he is chasing, it doesn’t mean that he will stay silent after getting wrecked out of a first career win.
“If I’m Tyler Reddick, I probably understand that it was an accident and it wasn’t intentional, but I’m still really angry about that because it’s one thing to move me, it’s one thing to bump me for the win. I am OK with that. You’re going to come in and move me out of the way,” Joey Logano said on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
“Am I going to be mad? Yeah, but I’m going to be OK with it because I’m willing to do the same thing. I’m not willing to wreck somebody for a win. I’m willing to move somebody for a win. That’s what I expect. You can’t be a hypocrite. I would be mad because I just got wrecked out of a win, my first win. I would be livid,” Joey Logano added.
Joey Logano went on to say that he won’t be laughing or joking about someone else knocking you out of the victory lane pointing toward the post-race friendly conversation that occurred between Briscoe and Reddick. The first race winner in a Next-Gen car added that he ould not have been smiling for days contrary to Tyler Reddick if he was robbed of his first career win and the perks that come with it for the team.
“I don’t know if I’d be laughing and joking and shaking hands at that point. I think I’d be a little bit angrier. Dude, you just robbed the win from me. And neither one of us won. Now it’s like what the heck was that about. If it’s me and that happens, you got one coming, bud. That’s what I would say. I don’t know. I don’t think I’d be laughing about it and joking about it,” says Joey Logano.
“That’s a big hit. You think about it. You’re about to win your first race. It’s going to put you in the playoffs. The impact that makes for your team. The impact that it makes on the checkbook. You just got robbed, dude. Like you had it in the bank and got wiped out. I just wouldn’t be happy about it. I couldn’t smile. There’s no way in heck I’d be smiling for the next two days,” Joey Logano added.
