NASCAR will the Wisconsin, Road America track for the 18th round of cup racing this weekend which will also mark the third road course race of the season after COTA and Sonoma. Kwik Trip 250 presented by JOCKEY Made in America is expected to produce fireworks as the fight intensifies for the handful of playoff spots left and the increasing competition for the regular-season championship.

No:9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevy Camaro ZL1 driver Chase Elliott will hit the Road America track hoping to secure his first road course race win of the season as the active driver with most road course win is yet to secure one this season though he came close to one multiple time this season so far. A win will be vital for the 2020 Cup Champion as it can provide him with a healthy lead on his pursuit for the regular-season championship from Ross Chastain and Ryan Blaney who are placed p2 and p3 respectively.

Chase Elliott acknowledged that he is excited to go back to Road America, just like what it had been for him last year. He went on to say that though he was always partial to having the fourth of July race at Daytona, the Wisconsin crowd’s high energy is apt for the race day. He added that this weekend is a big one for the USA.

“I’m excited to get back to Road America. I thought last year’s event was really good. For me, I was always partial to having the Fourth (of July) race at Daytona, but the crowd was really good and the energy was super high, and I think we need to have an energetic race on the Fourth. That’s a big weekend for our country,” Chase Elliott said.

Chase Elliott went on to say that the Road America race inside their sport according to him deserves a lot of energy for the time and need of occurrence of such a big event. He pointed out that the fans at the track welcomed them with open arms bringing up a lot of energy.

It’s a race inside our sport that l think is deserving of a lot of energy too because we are a sport that’s going on this time of year and that needs to be a big event. I felt like the people up there welcomed us with open arms and brought a lot of energy,” Chase Elliott added.

Chase Elliott went on to add that the energy at that track makes the race fun for everybody involved if are a driver, a crew member, or just another fan, as it makes a better environment for the event to flourish. He added that last year’s race was a great example of such an event and shared his expectations that this years’ experience will be as big for everyone involved.

Anytime you have energy at the track, it makes it fun for everybody involved whether you’re working inside the sport, you’re a driver, you’re another a fan there, it just makes for a better event, better environment. Last year, I felt was a great example of that. hope that’s the case again this weekend. I hope the results are the same this weekend and everybody has a big-time,” Chase Elliott Explained.
