Trackhouse Racing, the NASCAR outfit owned by former racer Justin Marks and Pop star Pitbull, has been the revelation of the 2022 season as in just two years from its establishment the team has positioned itself as among the team to beat in the cup series. Trackhouse racing has been more than just a mere team for the organization since its announcement as it showed a new and maybe efficient way for teams to run their operation both on and off the track with their unique way of management.

Trackhouse racing has established itself as a force that is able to take the sport to new levels as they announced their plans to introduce a new car with PROJECT91 aimed at making the sport go global as they will be fielding drivers who have made their mark in other major series of racing, with Ex-Formula One champion Kimi Raikkonen being the first to mark his debut. With their Chevy Camaro and a diverse team, Trackhouse Racing might have every formula to go for the championship this season as well as the coming ones.

Ross Chastain has been among one of the if not the most impressive drivers of the 2022 season as he made his impressive debut with Trackhouse Racing and became fruitful from the beginning. Chastain has impressed everyone around the NASCAR scene with impressive and aggressive driving as the Watermelon man has surely established himself as a championship contender, with the car upgrade he got from the acquirement of Trackhouse of CGR.

Chastain placed P2 in the 2022 championship table just a few points ahead of the leader Chase Elliott. The No:1 Chevy driver has secured two wins this season first one coming in COTA, the first road course of the season, and the second one coming at Talledega. Chastain has had ten top 10 finishes this season seven of which have been in the Top 5. Chastain could have topped the championship if he does not have four finishes outside the Top 30.

Ross Chastain has a lot of potentials and a genuine shot at winning the title this season and if he is able to pull himself together might do it this year only. Chastain has made some headlines with his aggressive driving, especially on his Gateway race outing which he later apologized for, which is kind of unnecessary considering the fact that the sport calls for hard racing.

Daniel Suarez

Daniel Suarez

Going into his second full-time season with the Trackhouse Racing No:99 team Daniel Suarez made history with the team, as he marked his first career win and Trackhouse’s third win in the Sonoma Raceway in the most recent NASCAR race. Daniel Suarez became the first Mexican-born driver to win a Cup Race as the 2016 Xfinity series champion marked the feat in his 195-cup series start.

The 30-year-old Mexican has so far had a roller coaster of a ride in the 2022 season as he was struggling to secure top finishes while his teammate Chastain was going for wins. The season has been full of bad luck for the No:99 car as reliability and getting into the wrong spots at the wrong time negatively affected his progress, this is reflected in the fact that Suarez has finished outside the top 20 7 times this season with the fact car he has.

With 5 top10 finishes 2 of which came in the top 5 and the Sonoma win the veteran is on the right track to going for the championship this season. Using the Sonoma Raceway momentum will be vital for Suarez as he might be hoping to secure more wins in the future races and make his way to the playoff with a genuine shot at winning it.
