Tyler Reddick has secured his second P2 finish of 2022 at Darlington as the Richard Childress Racings No:8 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 driver’s wait for his maiden cup series race win which began when he made his part-time debut in 2019 continuous. The 26-year-old finished P2 in Darlington behind Joey Logano who bumped William Byron to win the race.
Darlington is the second P2 finish from the RCR driver with his first one of the seasons coming in Bristol. Tyler Reddick made a strong comeback on Sunday after he was forced to pit under the green flag after reporting a vibration coming from his car. He re-joined the race at P27 with a lap down after the pit stop which saw him changing all of his four tires.
Tyler Reddick bounced back and climbed his way up the track and found his way to the top 5. Now the former outlaw racing champion has come forth revealing his opinion on what are his thoughts on the Darlington throwback weekend outing.

Tyler Reddick acknowledged that it was a good rebound for the No:8 team at the track after they were forced to pit owing to the vibration coming out of the car which had the potential to ruin their whole day. He went on to say that the Darlington track is a fun and frustrating place at the same time as the driver can’t afford to let his guard down on the notorious track.
“All-in-all, it was a good rebound for our No. 8 team. We pitted for a vibration pretty early in the race that could have derailed our whole day, but we were able to bounce back from it. Darlington is fun. It’s a frustrating place. You let your guard down for one second and your whole day can change,” Tyler Reddick said.
Tyler Reddick went on to say Darlington is one of the most difficult tracks in the NASCAR schedule and managing the dirty air, right side of the car, and keeping the car as one is some of the constraints he faced at the track. He went on to add that figuring out the corners of the track was the most fun and most frustrating part at the same time when racing at Darlington.
“It’s one of the most difficult tracks that we go to, especially trying to manage the dirty air; trying to manage your right side and not tearing it off. A lot of options when you go into each corner here, so it makes it really fun, but also pretty frustrating until you figure it out,” Tyler Reddick added.
