Trackhouse Racing, the NASCAR outfit co-owned by pop star Pitbull and former stock car racer Justin Marks, has been the revelation of the 2022 season as the two-year-old team has already positioned itself as one of the front runners of the championship and a team to beat at any track. The No:99 and No:1 Chevy Camaro Zl1s of Daniel Suarez and Ross Chastain have been constantly pulling top performance and speed at all the tracks they have raced on.

The team has already secured 2 wins this season both coming from Ross Chastain whereas his teammate Daniel Suarez, has been among the drivers to lead more races and if not for his bad luck would have had wins of his own. The team that has objectives that closely resonate with the diversity initiatives NASCAR has put forth has now come up with their new plan Project91 aimed at the internationalization of NASCAR.

The Project91 is et to help the champion drivers from different series of racing to enter NASCAR with limited barriers and have a strong shot at winning the race. The 2007 Formula 1 champion Kimi Raikkonen will be the first driver to drive the No:91 car as he will make his cup debut in August. Now Daniel Suarez has come forth expressing his thoughts on being part of the project and how he can help by being in its front row.

Daniel Suarez said that he was in talks with Justin Marks over the PROJECT91 and acknowledged that it is going to be very exciting to be part of the plan in the front row itself. He pointed out that he came to the sport Ten years ago with a different cultural and educational background from Mexico and the integration into the sports culture has been a process that wasn’t easy which he believes can help the project.

“I was talking to Justin about this, it’s going to be very exciting for me to have a front-row seat on this project because for the last 10 years I have felt that I came to the sport with a different background, with different education, without speaking English, trying to understand the sport, trying to understand the culture. It’s been a process. It hasn’t been easy,” Daniel Suarez said.

He went on to say that he was able to prove his worth in the port thanks to the individuals who helped him as they made him feel at home and made him progress easier. He pointed out that every single driver that will come in as part of PROJECT91 is going to experience that so him being at the forefront with the experience of going through that process earlier can help them very much.

Obviously thanks to a lot of people in the sport, they have made me feel at home, and they have made me make that progress easier. Every single member that comes to this Project 91 most likely is going to go through the process that I had to go through in the last 10 years. I think it’s going to be very exciting for me to be on the front row of this project and try to help as much as I can,” Daniel Suarez added.
