Joey Logano is a serious contender for the 2022 NASCAR cup championship. The Penske veteran has been one of the most consistent drivers of the season. He was without a doubt, the best Ford driver on the grid.
Going into postseason round of 8, Logano has a distinct advantage compared to his peers. He and fellow cup driver Denny Hamlin have been in the championship 4 race four times and contrary to the latter Logano has won it.
Hamlin, Logano and Chase Elliott are the only drivers with previous championship race experience. So, Logano is very aquinted to the highes and lows of the playoffs. His team shares similar experiences.
Logano, in a recent interview ahead of the Round of 8 starter at Las Vegas, has come forth giving insight into how his championship experience might help him this season.

Joey Logano pointed out that experience always matters. He added that regardless of the car or track, playoff always apply equal pressure on the drivers. Logano said that the pressure remains same throughout.
“I think experience always matters. Yeah, the car is different, and things are different, but the pressure is the same. And as you get through these rounds, and how you execute throughout it, it’s the same,” Joey Logano said.
Joey Logano pointed out that he feels more stronger and comfortable in the playoff as he has been there before. He added that he feels good about where they are at as a race team.
“So, anytime you’ve been through something before and you’re going back to it again, you’re always stronger and more comfortable in that situation. So I feel really good about where we’re at as a race team,”Joey Logano added.
Joey Logano acknowledged that everyone on his team has won and lost the championship. They understand the pressure and know how to overcome it. Logano said that he has got a great team to go into the championship battle.
“Everyone on this team has won a championship before, they’ve been through the pressure before, they’ve won, they’ve lost — we’ve done it all together and know how to do that. So I feel like we’ve got a great team to go to battle with and a team that’s been there before,” Joey Logano explained.
