Team Penske Racing’s Joey Logano is one of the most talented drivers of the generation and is a definite future NASCAR Hall of Famer. Nicknamed Sliced Bread, Logano got into NASCAR at a very young age and became one of the leadership figures of the sport despite being a driver with a short fuse.
He is infamous for the aggressive racing style that has put him in trouble multiple times over the years and made him one of the most hated racers. Logano survived all noises and stood as one of the two active muti-up-winning full-time racers on the grid alongside former teammate Kyle Busch.
He was one of the many drivers featured in the new NASCAR docu-series, and in the episode, Logano is seen discussing his attitude and approach towards racing in NASCAR. The No:22 Ford driver said that he is ready to do anything to win races, and being soft with his peers on the track isn’t part of his policy, as he doesn’t go to Target to make friends.
That was my advantage. That’s what set me apart. I don’t care about making friends at the race track. I don’t want to be friends with any of them. I want to win, and I will do it at all costs.Logano said via NASCAR: Full Speed.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. acknowledges the dual personalities of Joey Logano
NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr., one of the executive producers of the docu-series, discussed the character of Logano in the series. He pointed out that Logano has different personalities on race days and normal weekends.
Take him out of the race car, Monday to Friday, and you would not think he is a race car driver. You’d think he was an insurance salesman or something. But when he gets behind the wheel, he turns into something else.
The docu-series released on January 31st has been a huge hit as it, according to many, successfully captured the essence of NASCAR without compromising on the entertainment aspects. It got into the list of the top 10 most streamed Netflix shows in North America, Australia, and some European countries.
