Denny Hamlin is one of the modern-day legends of NASCAR and a future first ballot Hall of Famer. The three times Daytona 500 winner is the non-championship winning driver with the most victories in the Cup Series. Despite all his achievements the villain of NASCAR is often overlooked by the fans and the racing community.

2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick via his recent podcast, where Denny Hamlin was the host, pointed out that the JGR drivers often isn’t getting the credit for his hard work and dedication. He highlighted the work ethic of the 23XI owner and his crew chief as the most overlooked factor.

I don’t think people give you the credit that you deserve, for your knowledge of the sport. The amount of work that you put into your craft, and what you do. And I think when — we get a lot of questions, and you get a lot of publicity about wearing a black hat, and people not liking you and this and that. But the thing to me, that is the most overlooked thing about you and Chris [Gabehart] right now, is the work ethic and time that goes into this.
Kevin Harvick said via Happy Hour Podcast.

Denny Hamlin during the same interview also highlighted that his crew chief rejuvenated his career and deserves a lot of props just like he does. But without Hamlin’s ability to ignore all the noises when he is in the car, these results won’t come.

You started 23XI. You have a lot of things going on. But it seems like you can juggle all these balls,  and be able to perform in the car. It’s inevitable, that when you plug yourself into the car, there’s not going to be any distractions, and that’s tough to do.
Kevin Harvick said.

The No:11 Camry driver is already on another championship course while also leading his team 23XI to playoffs. He secured the spot by winning at Bristol and now will divide his focus on collecting more wins while also helping his team.
