It won’t be long before the iconic driver Kevin Harvick is inducted into NASCAR’s Hall of Fame. But until then, he has to settle for being inducted into the 75 Greatest Drivers list. The Californian who is set to retire at the end of the season, was announced as the 72nd greatest driver on NASCAR’s list. Harvick is one of the most recognized drivers of all time. 

The 47-year-old is one of the seven active and full-schedule drivers. The others are Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch, and Martin Truex Jr. Kevin Harvick is a well-respected and accomplished NASCAR driver. His records speak for themselves. Harvick has 60 race wins, 435 top-ten finishes, and 31 poles in the Cup Series alone. He ran 800 races over 23 years. His passion and love for the sport are admired by fans worldwide.

Kevin Harvick had at least one win in 18 NASCAR seasons. He also claimed victory in 11 consecutive seasons from 2010 to 2020. Harvick was the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup series champion. He drove the No.4 Chevrolet for Stewart Haas Racing. The Californian moved to the Cup series after his massive success in the Craftsman Truck and Xfinity series.

Harvick is among the few drivers who won championships in both the Cup and Xfinity series. The other drivers are Bobby Labonte, Kyle Busch, Elliott, Truex Jr, and Keselowski. The NASCAR legend is also among the 42 drivers to claim victory in all three of NACSAR’s top series. The motorsport world rejoiced in his well-deserved induction into the Greatest Drivers list. 

Some fans called him the Aaron Rodgers of NASCAR. This is a reference to Rodger’s skills. The NFL star is regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks ever. Some of the reactions to Harvick’s induction into the list were, “I can’t imagine NASCAR without Harvick,” “Yes! The NASCAR star has 47 wins and 261 top-ten finishes in the Xfinity series. He also has 14 wins and 62 top-ten finishes in his Truck Series career. Kevin Harvick has accumulated several achievements so far. He is the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Regular season champion, the 2001 and 2006 Busch Series champion, the 1998 Winston-West Series champion, and the 2002 IROC champion. Harvick won the ESPY best driver award in 2015.
