Joey Logano has been Team Penske’s finest driver in 2022, having already claimed two victories and holding down P4 in the championship standings, only a few points ahead of Ryan Blaney, who has yet to claim a victory. So, when Team Penske announced the contract extension of the veteran, it didn’t surprise any in the NASCAR community.

After having a difficult time at Joe Gibbs Racing, where he was Kyle Busch’s understudy, Joey Logano joined the Roger Perske-owned team in 2013. Logano has been among the most successful Penske drivers in NASCAR, amassing 27 victories in nine seasons with the organization and winning the title in 2018, besting competitors like Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr., and Kevin Harvick in the process.
