The Charlotte Motor Speedway hosted the 14th round of 2022 regular Cup season racing, the iconic the ‘Crown Jewel’ of cup Racing the Coco-Cola 600. The race was surely one of the longest, craziest, and the wildest cup races in the recent or maybe in the whole NASCAR history as the race marked a double-overtime 5-hour race with 18 cautions coming out.
Joe Gibbs Racing No:11 Toyota Camry driver Denny Hamlin topped the field surviving the crazy race, where half his compatriots who started with him failed and made their way to the victory lane starting the race at the pole. The whole race was on different as multiple crashes, spins, and failed team strategies forced the top drivers to exit the race early.
Denny Hamlin who only led 15 laps in the whole race two of which came at the end positioned himself deep in the top 10 and towards the end found his way to the front and took the lead to himself after a wreck forced by Austin Dillon spinning up front caused the leader Kyle Larson to spin out giving Denny Hamlin the perfect opportunity to go for the win.
Denny Hamlin had to survive the last lap drag race between him and his teammate, the two times Cup Champion, Kyle Busch who came up short at the end. The win also saw Denny Hamlin joining the club of drivers to have won all three of the major cup race events and a 48th career cup race win. Denny Hamlin wins also join William Byron and Ross Chastain as the multiacre winners of 2022.

Twitter went crazy after the craziest finish to the race which saw Denny Hamlin coming out as the winner and there was a lot of applause and criticism alongside Denny Hamlin’s way. Denny Hamlin is one of the most outspoken drivers on the grid meant the trolls and criticism pointing toward that. There were also comments that sympathized with Kyle Larson as he lost the race due to a lack of bad luck.
