Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch moved to Richard Childress Racing in 2023. He left Joe Gibbs Racing after 15 years with the team that yielded the titles. Busch won three races last season and was considered a contender at the start of the year, but a late-season slump saw them exit the playoffs without a fight.
Going into the 2024 season, RCR has big hopes for their veteran driver as they expect him to land some wins and remain in the title contention. To fuel their efforts, they have signed sponsorship deals with unique brands. RCR is known for the unexpected brands they introduce into the sport, a testament to Richard Childress and the team’s business prowess.
It’s not just Childress; Busch’s move to RCR has made him transition from one of the most hated starts to a fan favorite, making him an attractive brand ambassador. They have announced the signing of two new sponsors this week. The first to come on board was Rebel Bourbon. Busch will use the No:8 Chevy with the beverage company theme for selected races in 2024 and 2025.
The most recent announcement was the new deal with Global Industrial. They have previously worked with RCR as the Xfinity Series sponsor for Austin Hill and now are taking the extra step with a move up the ladder to Cup. Busch’s 2023 sponsors, 3CHI and Chedder, have also extended their partnership with Champion and will return in 2024.
Why did Global Industrial moved up to the Cup Series?
Global Industrial has been working with Austin Hill for the last couple of years and has witnessed an impressive performance from the prodigy. They are hoping the move to support Kyle Busch will elevate them in terms of returns on investment.
Alex Tomey, Senior Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer of Global Industrial pointed out that they have had an incredible experience with Hill as their driver in the Xfinity Series and are expecting similar results from Kyle Busch.
It has been an incredible experience to be part of the RCR platform, which has allowed us to highlight the products and solutions we offer, and strengthen relationships with our associates, customers and vendor partners. Austin has been an exceptional ambassador for the Global Industrial brand, and we look forward to expanding our relationship as we team up with Kyle Busch for our first ever NASCAR Cup Series race in 2024.Tomey said via Statement.
