“So pretty much the same way everyone views Bubba? Got it,” NASCAR Twitter reacts to Denny Hamlin downplaying Kimi Raikkonen’s chances of winning on his cup debut at Watkins Glen

Denny Hamlin and Kimi Raikkonen
Despite only having two years of experience in the NASCAR Cup Series, Trackhouse Racing is already regarded as one of the teams to beat this season. Ross Chastain and Daniel Suarez of Trackhouse drive the Justin Marks-Pitbull-owned squad to three victories, and several podia finish this season, with its quick Chevrolet beating the competition.
Kimi Raikkonen, a.k.a the “Iceman,” will make his cup series debut this weekend at Watkins Glen as part of the PROJECT91, Trackhouse Racing’s newest venture that aims at increasing NASCARs and the brand’s exposure. The former F1 world champion with Ferrari will be driving the No:91 Camaro ZL1 this Sunday and hoping to end his first race day after retiring on a high note.
Even though many people have come out to declare Kimi Raikkonen a contender for the race win, as his track debut is creating a stir, Denny Hamlin, a veteran of Joe Gibbs Racing and possibly the best Toyota driver of the 2022 season, doesn’t appear to share that viewpoint as he recently shared his thoughts on the possibilities of the former Formula One driver on Sunday.
Denny Hamlin, in his latest Media interaction, acknowledged that Kimi’s entry to the cup race would surely help the publicity of NASCAR, but it won’t change the dynamic of the race day, saying, “I think it’s a good thing for our sport if it gets some good publicity, but other than that, I’m not really sure it changes the dynamic of the race too much,”
How NASCAR Twitter reacted to Denny Hamlin’s opinion

NASCAR Twitter had a mixed reaction to Denny Hamlin’s words where some agreed with the veteran, others disagreed with his opinion as they came out at him with trolls and criticism. Some comments were calling Denny’s comments a bit insulting, but the fans were in agreement that Kimi has less chance of winning the race.
