Cody Ware

Cody Ware survived a life-threatening incident at the Texas Motor speedway. The driver was placed under immediate medical attention after he crashed on the pit road. He was transferred to the medical care center in an ambulance. It was later confirmed that Ware suffered a concussion but was lucky to walk away with no major injury.

The incident occurred on lap 168. Ware lost control of his No:51 Mustang after he hit the outside wall hard. He was able to get the car to a halt before the car slid into the pit wall opening. The emergency crew had to carry the driver out of the car and then to ambulance. He couldn’t get out of the car on his own.

The reports from the Infield care center suggest that the only physical injury he had was a small ankle issue. His team manager Robby Benton acknowledged that he will return to the race track next weekend at Talledega.
