Joey Logano

Joey Logano’s 2022 cup season and his impressive championship win were a story of their own. The Team Penske driver ran with superior consistency throughout the regular season and dominated the postseason to secure his second career cup title. He won 4 races this season including the season finale and finished inside the top 10 in half of the races this year.

This year also witnessed more of a mature performance from Logano. He kept his composure and produced some of the cleanest races of his career. He put his aggression in the check and had a nice guy persona throughout the year. He also had a big role to play in guiding Rookie of the year Austin Cindric in his debut season with the team.

Inspired by the veteran’s performance this year NASCAR legend Jeff Burton claimed that the No:22 driver is the most valued driver of the sport. He said, “Joey Logano is the most valuable driver in the sport. He does all the things on and off the track right. … It’s very difficult to be the nice guy off the track, understand all the things you’re supposed to do, embrace them and go do your sponsor commitments,”.

He pointed out that the enthusiasm and excitement of Joey Logano make him the most suitable candidate for the role. He said, “Go try to make the sport better than it was when you got here. Do it with excitement. Do it with enthusiasm. Put the helmet on. I want to be the (expletive) that you have to be to win races,”.
