Kyle Busch, the most successful driver in NASCAR Xfinity Series history, will return to the Xfinity Series in 2023 with Kaulig Racing. He will run in 5 races, the maximum number an elite Cup driver is allowed is to start with No:10 Kaulig Racing Team. The 2022 season marked the first time since he made his Xfinity Series debut; the veteran didn’t run a second-tier race.

Busch took the one-year break following a dominating 2021 season which witnessed him winning all 5 races he started. He also secured the 100th race win of his Xfinity career, on his third trace of the season. He became only the third driver to score more than 100 wins in a national NASCAR series. The other two are Richard Petty (200) and David Pearson (105), who scored centuries of wins in the Cup series.

The 2023 season is a new beginning for Kyle Busch as he ended his 15 layers of service at Joe Gibbs Racing and signed with Richard Childress Racing. He is the third driver announced for the No:10 team. The other three are teammates Austin Dillon, Justin Haley, and AJ Allmendinger. Busch will hope to add a couple more wins to his 102 Xfinity win tally in 2023 and the first Xfinity win in a chevy since 2007. He will drive at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Phoenix Raceway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Watkins Glen International, and Darlington Raceway.

I’m looking forward to having fun in the Xfinity Series again. What Matt Kaulig and Chris Rice have built in just a few short years at Kaulig Racing is impressive, and with the team’s alliance with Richard Childress Racing, this made for an easy decision to be back competing in a series that I’ve had success in over the years,” Kyle Busch said.

Kyle Busch is a true competitor and will forever be known as one of the best – and winningest – NASCAR drivers of all time. We’re excited to have a former Cup and Xfinity Series champion bring his experience and knowledge to our team. There is no doubt in our minds that Kyle will help our Xfinity Program grow and contend for wins this year,” Kaulig Racing president Chris Rice said.

Fans had mixed reactions to his return. While some expressed their happiness to see the veteran return to the series, others took the opportunity to troll the 2009 Xfinity champion. There were also RCR fans who were disappointed as he isn’t driving the No:3 car.
