The exchange of Kyle Busch and Tyler Reddick between Chevy and Toyota surprised the whole NASCAR Cup garage in 2022. The then RCR driver Reddick was signed by 23XI Racing to join them by 2024. A few months later, Busch to RCR announcement was made. This and Kurt Busch’s concussion led to 23XI buying out Reddick’s contract.
Both drivers had a solid debut season with their new team and have already secured spots in this season’s playoffs. Busch has won three races this season with the No:8 team and has helped Richard Childress to get back to title contention talks after a long time. On the other hand, Tyler Reddick has scored just one win and secured multiple solid top 5s.
Between the two, Busch has had the better season so far and is the only driver to win three races. When asked about his true feelings regarding Bush securing multiple wins this season, Reddick noted that he has no weird feelings about it. He says the number of wins they scored doesn’t surprise him, as he missed out on multiple wins last year despite having a fast car.
“No, no, no, no. There were so many races we gave away last year, honestly — the car had a lot of speed, the team a lot of speed, and it’s rolled into this year. So, seeing them win three races doesn’t surprise me,” Tyler Reddick told Fox Sports.

Tyler Reddick feels he has missed multiple race-wins this season
Reddick feels that just like his 2022 season with RCR, he has missed on multiple wins with the No:45 23XI Racing team. He pointed out that his win came late this season but insisted that he is happy with the team.
“I certainly feel like on our side, too, the speed is there to have won that many races. I don’t know why I made it a competition just now because it really shouldn’t be — it’s about us and ourselves. But I am happy for that group,” Reddick said.
He also said that he is happy for his former crew at RCR for the wins. He said, “I spent years of my life with the people that are on that team. I’m still good friends with a lot of people on that team. It’s always great to see your friends do well when you can’t necessarily capitalize and have the best day yourself,”.
