Kyle Busch, the Richard Childress racing driver, has talked about missing out on the win at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The American started the race from the P5 , but because of a plethora of reasons, they was not able to make much of an impact. Moreso, despite starting in a good position he ended his exploits in P14.

Kyle Busch drove the No. 8 Alsco Uniforms Chevrolet at the Circuit and ended his race in P14. However, despite the result, the 37-year-old is pleased and has praised his team for their work. His crew was at it during the whole NASCAR event and put in a lot of effort that Busch recognized.

While stressing on his Las Vegas outing after the event, he added, “I’m proud of everyone at the Richard Childress Racing for their hard work today. We started the race fifth in our Alsco Chevrolet and battled a tight handling condition right off the bat. Crew Chief Randall Brunett worked on the handling of the Chevy throughout the day, but long green flag runs hindered our opportunities.”

When we did pit, the No. 8 team performed and gained us spots on pit road. We just never seem to get the balance to where it needed to be to contend for the win. We’ll take this 14th-place finish, regroup and focus on Phoenix Raceway.” Kyle Busch has given the details as to what went wrong for him during the race. As per Busch, the handling of his car was one of the main reasons why he was not able to move forward at the Las Vegas Speedway. Moreover, feels the green flags also played a part in him not gaining many positions. He is now looking forward to having a better outing at the next race of the 2023 season.

While Kyle Busch had a pretty average day compared to his loft standards, his teammate, Austin Dillon had a day to forget in his Camaro ZL1. The American started the race from the 26th position, but despite his best efforts, he couldn’t do much during the race. Moreover, by the end, Dillon slipped one place and ended his exploits in P26.

After the race, while addressing the race, Dillon added, “We had a long day in the No. 3 BERZTRI AEROSPHERE Inhalation Aerosol Camaro ZL1 today at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, but this Richard Childress Racing team never gave up. We started the race deeper in the field than any of us would have preferred, and long green flag runs early in the race made it difficult to work on handling issues.”

We just didn’t hit the balance today. At the end of the first run, we were pretty good. Just too free. Then our Chevy got tightened up and I couldn’t get through the bumps very well. We salvaged what we could. We ended up with damage during a multi-car wreck on the last lap, but luckily, we were able to finish the race.”

He further added, “I had nowhere to go. It was a tough day, but this team had a lot of fight. I’m looking forward to getting back on track at Phoenix Raceway.” Looking at comments of Dillon, they are very similar to his teammate, Busch. It seems both drivers had the same troubles that hindered their progress in the race.

Moreover, just like Busch, Dillon is also willing to take the result of Las Vegas on the chin, and move forward in the season. Next up on the NASCAR calendar is the race at the Phoenix Speedway. Considering what the duo has said about the upcoming race, would they be able to put on a better showing at the event?
