Spire Motorsports’ Carson Hocevar, who was the rookie of the season in 2024, is infamous for making questionable moves on the track. On Sunday at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, the No:77 Chevy driver got caught up some wild incidents, that featured the likes of ex-champion Kyle Busch and Ryan Blaney, leaving them pissed off.
On the final lap of stage one, Kyle Busch was bumped from the side by the No:77 car resulted in the No:8 RCR driver losing points. This left the two times Cup champion furious, and he went on an angry radio rant. The in the third stage, while racing upfront Carson Hocevar made contact with No:12 Ford of Ryan Blaney that spun him out, resulting in another radio rant.
After the race, Trackhouse Racing’s Ross Chastain, who has run part-time in the Truck Series as Hocevars’ teammate and is a mentor to the youngster, wasted no time, as he confronted him. They had a serious talk in the pit-road away from the camera. Later when asked about what was said, Chastain revealed that he didn’t get the answers he was looking from the youngster.

Then it was the 2023 Cup champion Ryan Blaney who stepped up to talk to Hocevar. He also had a long discussion with the Spire driver regarding his actions on the track. Later when asked about what was discussed, he pointed out that he asked the Spire driver to calm down and stopped making sketchy moves.
I just said, ‘Hey, you got to calm down.’ I told him a couple moves he made earlier in the race that were really, really sketchy, obviously me getting spun… Like, I’m gonna wreck. So, I just told him, ‘You got to calm down. You got a lot of talent, but you got to be a little bit easier in certain moments and be a little smarter.’
Ryan Blaney told Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. took a hilarious dig at Carson Hocevar during the race
NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. took some digs at Hocevar during the race. He wrote on X that Fox Sports should keep the camara on the No:77 Chevy driver as the Spire Chevy is racing in the middle of the pack, making some wild moves.

Just leave a camera on @CarsonHocevar and we will all be entertained today. Man the racing in the middle of the pack is wild. The onboard roof cameras are great for races like today also.

The comments from Junior shows how wild Carson Hocevar was on the track and how the veteran racers were right to call him out. It would be interesting to see how the youngster will respond as he is getting criticized for aggressive racing yet again.
