Chevy NASCAR Cup team Trackhosue Racing alongside 23XI Racing is the fastest growing team in the garage. They have become consistent contender for wins despite joining the garage in 2021 and regardless of their drop in pace in 2024, are considered a formidable force. But the sudden growth of the team has brought in some significant issues to the team as well.

The team has a massive stock car driver lineup despite the fact that they only field two cars in the Cup series, with the other project of the team being MotoGP. The list of drivers includes the primary line-up featuring Ross Chastain and Daniel Suarez. They are joined by Zane Smith who is on loan at Spire Motorsports and Shane van Gisbergen on loan with Kaulig Racing in the Xfinity series.

Smith and SVG is looking for a team for the 2025 season on the top-tier and Trackhouse can only field at maximum one more team. So, they either have to off-load driver s or find another solution. While talking about the same, Chastain asserted that he doesn’t know what though he doesn’t know what Justin Mark’s plans are, the No:1 Chevy team is his for a longtime to come.

I told any driver under the Trackhouse umbrella as they all look and go through their careers to not look at the No. 1 car, it’s locked up for a long time, and if you, I don’t believe for a minute that I understand what’s going through Justin Marks’ mind.
Ross Chastain told Fox Sports.

Ross Chastain never expected to see Justin Marks as a team owner

While further talking about the point, Chastain admitted that he never thought five years ago to see Marks running such a big Cup team. He is ready for whatever that is waiting for them in NASCAR for the foreseeable future.

Five years ago, I would have never thought a Cup team was in his future and here we are contending for race wins and the playoff with him. And whatever’s next, I’m here for the ride but I’m the driver of the 1 car.
Ross Chastain said.

Justin Marks and his crew has a lot of work to do for the 2025 season. They have guaranteed the service of Suarez and Chastain. Now they have to find seats for Smith and SVG, keeping them happy as it would be bad business decision if they let them go.
