The second coming of NASCAR to the street of Chicago went as dramatic as the debut race last year. It featured multiple dramatic moments including defending race winner Shane van Gisbergen and pole sitter Kyle Larson DNFing early over wrecks. Bubba Wallace door slamming race winner Alex Bowman to post race confrontation between Daniel Suarez and Chase Elliott added to the drama.
Daniel Suarez’s Trackhosue teammate Ross Chastain, who is no stranger to dramatic moment in the sport, was involved in a unique incident. On the final lap of the race, he came too fast into the corner and made contact with the tier barrier. The front of his No:1 Chevy got caught in the tier barrier.

But unlike what happened to most driver who found themselves in the situation, he was able to drive off from the situation by moving the tier with force to rejoin the field. He went on to finish the race at P22, continuing his streak of fished outside the top-20 as he was able to only score a P33 a week before at Nashville.
The incident brough back memories of the iconic wall ride from Martinsville in the 2022 season by the same driver. The Trackhosue driver in the finale race of R-8 rode along the walt to overtake Denny Hamlin to get into the final-4. NASCAR later banned the move siting safety concerns, but it will always be remembered as a great moment of the sport.
Ross Chastain shared a wholesome moment with a fan after the race
The wall-ride and his impressive debut season with Trackhosue in 2022 earned Ross Chastain a lot of fans making him a favourite. So, after the race at Chicago despite the disappointing result he found some time to interact with them.
During the interaction, he was offered a Peach version of Busch Light by a fan. He didn’t think twice to take sip from it and Trackhosue shared the video on their social media. Busch Light is the primary sponsor of Chastain and was featured in his car at Chicago.

The Chevy driver unfortunately hasn’t been able to secure a win so far in the 2024 season. His solid point haul is enough to get him a spot in the playoff, but him remaining winless is a huge disappointment for the driver and his fans.
