The 2024 NASCAR Cup season has been an absolute nightmare to say the least for two times champion Kyle Busch. He is now 104 points off the cut off line for the last 16 and might not make it to playoff without a win, with just seven races left in the regular season. But the team has showed no signs this season that they are capable of contending for wins.
Kyle Busch came into this weekend’s race at Nashville with the hopes of producing some solid performance to get his momentum back. But luck wasn’t on his side, as he wrecked out like he did in the previous three races. He was caught up in crash that involve Ross Chastain and Hendrick Motorsports Kyle Larson.

Busch, who was behind them, got collected by the No:1 Chevy as he didn’t have nowhere to go. He later hands another incident where Larson ran out of fuel ahead of him during the restart and resulted in his crash. The RCR No:8 Chevy driver’s wife, Samantha Busch, shared her feelings on X after the heartbreak.

Kyle Busch admits everything went wrong for them on the re-start
While talking to the media after the race about the result, Kyle Busch admitted that the caution during the five overtime re-starts that happened cost them. Larson was the Villain for Busch twice in this period, first when he wrecked Chastain and later when he ran out of fuel during the re-start.
Those cautions at the end of the race and into overtime really worked against us because we were close on fuel. On that last restart, we were fourth when the No. 5 (Kyle Larson) ran out of fuel just ahead of me and I had nowhere to go. It’s frustrating for sure but we’ll bounce back next week in Chicago.
Kyle Busch said.
Despite the disappointments, the veteran hasn’t lost hope. He determined to bounce back next week at the Chicago. If they get the car balance right, it’s a track they can expect a surprise win and the veteran will work twice as hard for it.
