23XI Racing, in the words of co-owner Denny Hamlin, gave Tyler Reddick the bag with the new multi-year contract. His contract was set to expire at the end of the season and Michael Jordan’s team decided to reward the veteran for the dominant start to the 2026 season that saw him win five of the first 10 races.
Ahead of last Sunday’s race at Talladega, the No:45 Toyota Camry drier shared his thoughts on the new deal and him having the opportunity to race for NBA legend MJ. He admitted that he really cherished the moment when he was approached with a deal to join 23XI and has enjoyed the team’s evolution into championship favorite.
You know, again, someone like Michael Jordan as well, wanted to be a part of what they’re building. You know, for me, I just, again, remember what that time was like, and just being shocked, humbled, blown away that they wanted me to be a part of it. And so, it’s been really fun to see what we’ve built over the last couple years together.
Tyler Reddick said ahead of Talladega cup race.
He had one of the worst seasons of his career in 2025, where he went winless and failed to capitalize on the speed of his Toyota. But the tough times and the trust that was put on his by the owners made him better in 2026. With the new multi-year multi-million deal, he is hoping to continue the journey.
The success, you know, unfortunately, a part of it, the tough times too, but we’ve, you know, we’ve learned, we’ve grown, and we’re going in a good direction. So yeah, it’s been a great journey, and I’m excited to keep it going, and just seeing how much more we can push our feeling up.
Tyler Reddick added.

He is hopeful that this deal will be the first of many long-time contract he signs with Michael Jordan’s team. It’s a reasonable expectation the words of Denny Hamlin, Tyler Reddick was signed as the franchise driver for the team.
It’s been a great start to the season. We got the deal done, and I’ll be continuing my future here at 23XI. I’m excited to build on what we’ve done. I’m really glad we were able to get to a good place and finalize it. Hopefully, I’ll be here for a long time.

Tyler Reddick feels bad for fans getting tired of his domination
In a sperate conversation, the veteran told him the impressive 2026 season he is having and some fans disliking the100+ points lead he has on the championship table. He feels bad for the supporters, but is determined to win more races as he doesn’t want go back to having win droughts like last season.

I feel bad for those that are tied of it. We’re enjoying it. We want to keep winning and doing the things that we’re doing. Yeah, I mean, I don’t feel bad, because I remember how I felt all of last year. I know how my team felt about last year. We don’t want to go back to not winning, and we’re gonna keep working really hard to find ways to get to Victory Lane.

The comments from the TRD racer are a warning to the rest of that garage, as the No:45 team will give them a run for their money till the end of the season. It would be interesting to see how many more races Reddick can win in 2026 and if he can take advantage of the form to secure the championship.
