Karl Anthony Towns has successfully led the Minnesota Timberwolves to the playoffs and now hopes for a long and deep run in the postseason. They were a part of the play-in tournament and fought their way out of it to grab the seventh spot in the rankings and make it to the playoffs. They hosted Los Angeles Clippers at Target Centre for the play-in tournament. The game was closely contested and head to head but the Wolves were able to outshine the Clippers as they were speechless spectating them take over the game and eventually win it. The final box score stands at 109-104 favoring the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Karl Anthony Towns (11 points, 3 assists, and 5 rebounds) though was having a bad day against the Los Angeles Clippers. But the supporting cast of D’Angelo Russell (29 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds) and Anthony Edwards (30 points, 2 assists, and 5 rebounds) had him backed up as they had hot hands on the offensive side. The team also played some great defense as they were successful to stop the offensive rally ran by the Clippers late in the fourth quarter to chop the lead down. Even Patrick Beverley got the job done as he talked trash got in their minds and played great defense. The team also had a wild celebration for their win.
But the real post-season begins now as they’ll be facing the JA Morant-led Memphis Grizzlies in the first round. Not many expected a series between these two teams as the league himself sleeps on the small market and so do the fans except the home crowd of course. But with time everything has changed and young guns of the Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves will be going against each other in the first round of the playoffs. Karl Anthony Towns even addressed the media about it as it really is an achievement.

We’ll go out there and make the ratings and we’ll make the show happened.” He sounded very firm and confident for the match-up which is true as the series is going to be great for sure. It’s full of young guns and pure athletes around who are ready to die out there record a win.
Karl Anthony Towns though will have to step up on the offensive end every night he steps on the court because JA can run it all alone. The series will surely be a great one and will start a new rivalry in the western conference as they really have stars who hold the potential to run the game at any point and turn it all around.
