“At the end of the day, Kevin Durant is left holding the bag alone” Stephen A. Smith disappointed by the ‘nonsense’ surrounding Nets, Irving and Simmons
Kyrie Irving, Ben Simmons, Stephen A. Smith
Stephen A. Smith has been really annoyed on Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons of the Nets as he thinks that they are putting themselves first over the team which is doing nothing but giving loads on Kevin Durant’s shoulder who has just come out after missing straight 21 games due to injury. KD played his first game for the Nets after Jan 21 but got disappointed as his team faced another defeat by the eastern table-toppers.
On Thursday Kevin Durant marked his presence in front of the Miami Heats by scoring 31 points, he played in the game without two big Nets stars Irving and Simmons. Since the Nets were shorthanded it was difficult for them to take down the Heats who are having an incredible season this year.

Stephen A. Smith believes Irving and Simmons are responsible for the recent struggle of the Brooklyn Nets
Meanwhile, Stephen A. Smith noticed the same thing and has accused Irving and Simmons of letting Durant down. In the latest episode of the First Take he expressed his honest feeling and said:
“At the end of the day, Kevin Durant is left by himself holding his bag…But as a basketball lover who knows Kyrie is great, who knows Ben Simmons is great. Who fantasies about seeing them on the court together, and let’s all get it on and find out who’s the best team. I am so incredibly disappointed for fans, for people like myself, and basketball.”
This is not the first time Smith has expressed what he feels of Irving and Simmons. Previously he also claimed that Kyrie Irving should feel responsible for the Brooklyn Nets’ recent struggles: “He comes across at the very least SELFISH!!”

Stephen A. Smith slams Ben Simmons for his careless attitude for still ‘refusing’ to play
Later, Smith also slammed Ben Simmons for still ‘refusing’ to play in the game for the Nets, he ripped Simmons careless attitude and said:
Further, Smith added. “You know he ain’t paying for his own meals, the owners giving him some meals, too. You’re giving him a check to sit on the bench and smile when you’re 100% healthy and ready to go? You got to be kidding me, man. We have to stop glossing over this. This isn’t Ben Simmons in Philadelphia anymore.”
Although the Nets were expected to be a huge contender for the championship this season recent controversies have affected their collective efforts and put them out of the list of contenders. If they want to go deep into the playoffs, its very important that Irving and Simmons join the campaign for every single game left for the Brooklyn Nets
