“Worst ejection of all time” NBA Fans lose their calm as Austin Rivers gets ejected after Lance Stephenson ‘unnecessary’ throws hand
Austin Rivers and Lance Stephenson
Austin Rivers suffered the effects of one of the worst refereeing decisions in the NBA as the player got ejected out of the game between Indiana Pacers and Denver Nuggets for “hitting” Pacers player Lance Stephenson, who thanks to his elite acting skills helped in intensifying the referee’s doubts. The entire NBA Fandom was taken aback, watching the referees’ decision of ejecting Rivers for nothing, as the arena was filled with shocked faces and boos as the Nuggets could do nothing but watch the stupid call made by referees. The Denver Nuggets defeated their rivals by a 7-point margin, but their player getting ejected for nothing must still sting.
Austin Rivers got to play for a time of 19 minutes, post which he was ejected, but the Nuggets still managed to get the dub despite Lance Stephenson’s actions of backstabbing accompanied by his terrible acting, and the horrendous decisions made by the referees which are decreasing the trust people have in their decision-making skills. “You had one Job!” is the ideal quote you could use in this situation with the referees failing to do the only thing they are supposed to do, make the right calls and keep the game fair! These problems of referees making mistakes have become a common occurrence with fouls being called for nothing and players being ejected for the most basic things.
The referees aren’t only getting softer day by day, but it seems they’re getting dumber with every passing day as well, losing their decision-making skills and identification of what is right and wrong. Austin Rivers was on the receiving end of these terrible actions this time, and the world watched as the fairness of the game went down in the drain with this one lame call by the referees. Let us take a closer look at what happened in this sequence as Rivers got ejected for literally nothing.
Austin Rivers gets ejected for nothing as Lance Stephenson steps up his acting skills
The Denver Nuggets got their sweet dub against the Indiana Pacers in the intense game between both of the teams which was filled with arguments, but this time it wasn’t only between players, but also with the referees, who are getting worse at doing their job with every passing day. Lance Stephenson is also a preparator in this incident of Austin Rivers’ ejection but not as much as the referees who seemed to be “blind” when they couldn’t spot his terrible acting. The NBA World was fuming at this horrendous call which triggered a series of trolling on twitter and everywhere else, with fans calling out the league for their choice of referees.
Watch:
With 8 minutes 45 seconds left in the 4th quarter of the game, Austin Rivers and Lance Stephenson were right in each other’s faces, almost trying to fight each other after Stephenson pushed the former, seemingly without reason, though at that moment, Rivers held himself back and went away from the scene. A few seconds later in the next play, Rivers and Stephenson came face to face as the former had the ball in his hand and was trying to pass it around to one of his teammates, which is when his elbow went past Stephenson’s chin, and missed it by a considerable margin.
