Stan Van Gundy reveals why the Grizzlies are the best both end team

Stan Van Gundy recently shared some stats of the Grizzlies’ current year performance where he explained how they have created records that are the best in the 25 years of NBA history. There is no doubt about the Grizzlies’ being exceptional this season, currently, they are the third-best team in the league with a record of 42-20.

With JA Morant leading the offense the Grizzlies were already seemed to be showing their dominant side in this section, but with Steven Adams as their center, the team is also leading their way in Blocks, steal, and rebounds. The team might be the third-best in the league but their all-around gameplay is better than the Suns and the Warriors who are the top-2 team this year.

Stan tweeted, “The Grizzlies attack on both ends. They lead the NBA in steals, blocks, fastbreak points, paint points, offensive rebounding and second chance points and are 2nd in FTA. Their 18.3 2nd chance pts. are the best in the 25 years on record and their 57.3 paint pts. are the third best”

According to Stan, the Grizzlies are leading the overall NBA in getting steals, blocks, fast break points, and even in the paints area where traditionally the big men rule but it doesn’t seem the case for them. Further, he also added, that their chance to get points in the second attempt is 18.3 which is the best record in the last 25 years of NBA history.

This tweet of Stan Van Gundy came after the Grizzlies’ recent victory against the Bulls by 116-110. In the game, Morant led the way for his team and scored his season-high of 46 points although he didn’t receive much support from the teammates. However, the team didn’t lack in the defensive front and held the Bulls from scoring which later become the biggest reason for their win.
