“Can’t avoid it”: Former NBA player BJ Armstrong confronts Los Angeles Clippers for wrecking their games purposely

The whole of NBA is preparing for the playoff games starting this week. One of the most fascinating teams to clinch the playoff spot have been the Los Angeles Clippers. This tea has been the one with the most controversy in the playoffs. As of last season Los Angeles Clippers were one of the strongest teams and the western conference finals was supposed to be a LA derby. However, they faced a blowout in the playoffs. This season has been promising for the Los Angeles Clippers campaign. As they finished 4th this season and will be facing the mighty Dallas Mavericks in their post season games. With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George at their best, the team will hope they do not repeat their mistakes from last season. However, BJ Armstrong has strong words for Los Angeles Clippers.
The Los Angeles Clippers have a deep squad with a strong bench this year. And the team is very much excited to grab their first ever NBA championship. But the Clippers are a team who has previously faced bad blow outs. Last year the Denver Nuggets ended their finals dream in the first match of the playoffs. Similarly, the star players like Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Former 3-time NBA champion BJ Armstrong took his idea on the same. He talked in brief of the situation.
Are the Los Angeles Clippers avoiding Los Angeles Lakers?
While the Clippers rested their star players in their last games, this led to speculations that they wanted to avoid a matchup against their arch rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers. BJ Armstrong said, “You know as a basketball purist it was rather disappointing; it was disappointing to watch this tactic. I understand it, but if you’re going to be the best you got to beat the best and you can’t avoid it.”
According to Armstrong, “So I get what they were doing and there’s part of me you’re saying I understand you want to give yourself and put yourself in the best possible but I got to stick to my principles here and say you know what bring it if you’re going to be a champion bring it on whoever I got to play first round, second round, bring it I got to beat them at some point so it was a little disappointing from that perspective.”

It is a tough task for the LA Clippers as LeBron James and Lakers are determined to retain their title. Having assembled a team with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the tea has been wanting to win the championship for a long time. Hopefully, they are able to clinch their maiden title.
