Kevin Durant has once again made it to the headlines by just a tweet of his. As he called out Stephen A. Smith one of the best analysts around the league for false reporting. The Brooklyn Nets have been the centre of attention so far this season. Since a trade forced by James Harden with just hours remaining for the trade deadline to part ways with Brooklyn Nets to play alongside Joel Embiid changed the whole narrative around the team. James Harden also blamed his departure on the unvaccinated part-time Kyrie Irving who now is a normal player for the franchise. Later the name of head coach Steve Nash and the system he runs was also included in the list. With all this in process analysts like Stephen A. Smith were going all-in on media takes speaking about the outcomes and recently one of Stephen A. Smith’s take came out to be false as KD tweeted it.
Currently, the Brooklyn Nets under the leadership of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving with a better and improved roster of young and deep core are ranked as the 8th seed in the eastern conference with the record of 41 wins and 38 losses at .519. As the star trio missed a lot of games before breaking up due to injuries and rules around the home arena. Stephen A. Smith though was critical for Kyrie Irving throughout the season and with James Harden leaving while blaming him in some of his takes he just went all-in on the team and got caught off-guarded.

Kevin Durant retweeted on a tweet by “Ballsack Sports” where he quoted: “Damn steve. Got ya a*s” Because he figured out the take was false and reported by a random basketball page with zero evidence or support to it. The tweet which got used ‘according to reports’ by Stephen A. Smith was: “Kyrie beat James Harden 1-on-1 almost everyday in practice, and Kyrie was barely even in basketball shape. It demoralized Harden. Things reached the breaking point came when Kyrie called Harden “washed” after completely locking him up in one scrimmage. An assistant had to break up the two as tempers flared, and the relationship spiraled downhill from there.”
Stephen A. Smith used an unknown source in his report and messed up. As Kevin Durant played an important role of a detective and got the job done while the analyst is currently getting trolled and criticized on the internet for false reporting. But nothing can be said about the report as there’s no evidence to support it and Kyrie Irving and James Harden won’t really talk about it. As the major focus for both the players as of now is to have a successful and long run in the postseason.
