There needs to be no introduction given to any NBA fan about Drake’s loyalty toward Toronto Raptors. The Eastern Conference giants have always found the American Rapper on the side-lines mocking other players, in order to support them. Whilst Miami Heat’s star Kyle Lowry was with the Raptors before making his move in this off season, he was evidently reported to be one of the closest friends of Drake.

Recently, when Miami Heat was in action, Drake was seen playing 1-on-1 with friend Kyle Lowry before the showdown. Clearly, the duo has maintained to remain in touch despite Lowry’s move to Miami. A video of the two concerned with viral from the American Airlines Arena.

Drake and Kyle Lowry spotted contesting a friendly 1-on-1 

Despite having a loose ball handling movement, Drake showed pretty decent skills against the Miami heat’s guard to be signed on a 10-day contract in the NBA. Moreover, Drake and Kyle Lowry were seen enjoying the friendly banter as well.

Safe to say, Lowry has managed to keep in touch with all the close personnel from Toronto. Not only Drake, but the former was also praised by Fred VanVleet for his recent surge in form for the Heat. With Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Victor Oladipo among others out, Lowry has been leading the team well, making sure they register wins to hold onto the top ranks in the Eastern Conference. 

While his scoring has dipped considerably from his career averages, his intangibles and playmaking have been a huge part of the team’s success this season. They sit at 3rd place in the Eastern Conference with a 26 – 15 record. 

That being said, Lowry is yet to bounce back in his All-Star form but having the ability to support the scoring prowess of other members in the team. Miami heat are coming off a strong win against the Atlanta Hawks in their most recent game, and are scheduled to play the same opponent in their next fixture as well.
